About the event

Herbal First Aid Series: Building Your Botanical First Aid Kit

From hiking trails and backyard gardens to everyday moments at home, small mishaps are simply part of life. In this two-part workshop series, you will learn how herbs can be used to support the body when common issues arise such as cuts, scrapes, burns, bug bites, bruises, digestive discomfort, and minor stress or tension.

Together we will explore herbs traditionally used in herbal first aid and everyday care, including plants known for supporting skin repair, calming inflammation, soothing bites and irritation, and offering gentle internal support when the body needs it most.

Throughout the series, you will learn how to keep a small, practical herbal first aid kit at home and when it may be helpful to reach for plant remedies.

During this series you will:

• Learn about herbs commonly used in herbal first aid such as calendula, plantain, yarrow, lavender, chamomile, and peppermint

• Create several practical herbal remedies for both external and internal support

• Gain confidence using herbs for bites, irritation, digestive upset, and everyday discomforts

• Build a simple herbal first aid kit to keep at home or take along on outdoor adventures

Participants will make and take home several herbal preparations, which may include items such as a healing salve, bite relief balm, herbal spray, or a soothing digestive or calming tea blend.

This workshop is ideal for anyone interested in practical herbal skills, gardeners and outdoor enthusiasts, or those who simply want to feel more prepared using natural remedies at home.

All materials are provided. None or some prior herbal experience is welcome.
